Wood Deck Staining in Rosemère

After several summers of sun exposure, this wood deck in Rosemère had greyed and lost its protection against moisture. The homeowner wanted to bring back the wood’s colour before the Quebec winter set in, which is especially hard on unprotected wood surfaces.

Work began with a full sanding of the surface to remove raised wood fibres and even out stain absorption. We then applied a semi-transparent oil-based stain in two coats, which lets the wood grain show through while protecting against moisture and UV rays.

The job was completed in two days, including required drying time between coats.
